Acknowledging the top contributors and public shoutouts/appreciation for great work done within the community is a step further towards building trust and fostering a culture of supporting each other. Encourage members to express gratitude by creating a #Gratitude channel on your Discord or Slack or Circle space.

  • Follow a weekly ritual where you appreciate the top contributors of the community with a short mention of the great things they did.
  • Over time, empower the most active members to share highlights from the week and thank members who helped others in some way
  • Go beyond the channel, let the community express gratitude on your weekly check-ins or check-outs for a few minutes.

To make it more fun, here's a free gratitude bot we built for Slack: Samosabot lets you give the heroes of your Slack community the recognition they deserve.
