A participant is someone who - as the name suggests - has gone from being a silent observer to participating in conversations. They like to be a part of the discussion, but they’re very selective about it. Not everything draws their attention. You won’t find them initiating conversations as much but when they find something relevant, they will have a thing or two to say about it. They attend events frequently and might even have a question every once in a while, might talk to a few people, but nothing that brings them too close to the spotlight.
